I love Family Guy! You are looking for "Blue Harvest" from season 6. It was an hour long episode and sometimes called a Family Guy movie. Also, in season 8 there was an episode with Peter telling the story of "The Empire Strikes Back". I'm looking to see if I can find the entire episode but I did find a bunch of clips on youtube from that particular one:
